Now a permanent fixture at Houghton Festival, The Armadillo invites festival-goers to explore new sonic dimensions amidst the stunning grounds of Houghton Hall.
Designed by @unknown.works The Armadillo is a groundbreaking experimental timber pavilion redefining sound and space. Crafted from eucalyptus CLT (Cross Laminated Timber); the pavilion’s interlocking timber arches amplify sound naturally, creating a space for performances and connection.
At Houghton 2025 The Armadillo played host to talks and conversations throughout the weekend, featuring Chris Levine, EBBA, Friendly Pressure, Chris Levine, Grace Sands, Calibre, Channel One, Peach, Jane Fitz and many more.
