All official Houghton vendors and bars on site are cashless, though traders and others may take cash. There are cash points on site if required.

  • Age Restrictions

    Houghton is a strictly 18+ event. We operate a challenge 25 policy and all those who appear under the age of 25 will be asked to provide evidence of their age by a valid photographic ID (UK Driving Licence, PASS 18+ Card or Passport).

    There will be strictly no entry to those who are under the age of 18. Unfortunately we will not be able to offer refunds to those refused entry on the day.

  • Accessibility

    Houghton are committed to improving the experience for d/Deaf, disabled and neurodivergent customers at the festival.

    For full details around the access facilities at the festival, how to apply for a Personal Assistant pass or to inform us of any access requirements please email us on access@houghtonfestival.co.uk.

  • Camping

    General admission camping is included in the GA ticket price, we provide toilets & showers free of charge. You will be asked to leave the campsite on the Monday after the festival.

  • Campervans/Live in vehicles

    Campervans and live in vehicles are welcome.

    You will need to purchase a live – in vehicle pass in addition to your general admission ticket.

    Each pass is valid per vehicle.

    We do not allow extra tents or awnings.

    Please note, we do not provide an electricity hook up for live in vehicles. There will be water refill points nearby and an IBC waste removal for live in vehicles in the field.

  • Toilets & Showers

    Providing the best possible sanitation at Houghton is at the forefront of our mind. We have contracted to work with industry leading sanitation providers to provide a wide, and well serviced, selection of plastic toilets, composting toilets, accessible toilets and showers across the main site and all campsites. All sanitation facilities are included in the ticket price and will not be chargeable at the festival. Showers are open 24/7.

  • COVID-19

    Current government guidance around the COVID-19 pandemic permits Houghton 2025 to go ahead. As we are all aware governmental COVID-19 measures are continually changing and should Houghton not be able to take place under any changes to government guidance, full refunds, excluding booking fees, for tickets purchased for the festival from Resident Advisor will be issued to all guests.

  • Prohibited Items

    The following items are not permitted on site and will be confiscated at the main gate:

    • Illegal substances
    • Legal highs or any other psychoactive substances
    • Nitrous oxide and/or whippers
    • Portable laser equipment and pens
    • Unauthorised professional film or video equipment
    • Drones
    • Audio recorders
    • Walkie Talkies
    • Megaphones
    • Air horns
    • Spray cans
    • Marker and paint pens
    • Fireworks
    • Flares/Camping stoves
    • Chinese or sky lanterns
    • Any item which may reasonably be considered for use as a weapon
    • Animals (other than registered guide or hearing dogs)
    • ALL PERSONAL BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS
    • Unofficial tabards or reflective jackets
    • Unauthorised items for trading, including any goods using unauthorised event logos
    • Excessive amounts of food and cigarettes may be refused entry to the site

  • Alcohol

    Each ticket holder is allowed to bring the following into the campsite:

    Up to 8 canned drinks(beer, cider, cocktail cans, hard seltzer)

    OR

    1 bottle of wine, decanted as NO glass is allowed on site.

  • Lost Property
    Lost Property During the Festival
    If you have lost an item during the festival, please visit the Info Point, which acts as the central lost property enquiry hub.
    Info Point Opening Hours
    • Thursday: 5:00pm – Midnight
    • Friday – Sunday: 10:00am – 10:00pm
    • Monday: 8:00am – 1:00pm
    Lost property is stored across a number of designated locations on site and logged centrally. The Info Point team will be able to check the system and direct attendees to the correct collection location.
    Confiscated Items
    Confiscated items that are eligible for return will be bagged, tagged and held securely. These can be collected before 2:00pm on Monday 10 August 2026.
    After this time, any uncollected confiscated items and lost property will be transferred to secure post-festival storage.

    Any items not claimed by 11 September 2026 will be donated, recycled or disposed of as appropriate.
