Houghton Hall’s renowned sculpture garden is exclusively available for festival ticket holders throughout the 4 days of the Festival.
The permanent collection features work by art world monoliths James Turrell, Rachel Whiteread, Richard Long, Stephen Cox and Anya Gallacio.
Turrell’s Skyspace in particular is a sublime work, which often stuns festival goers into silent awe. We have exclusive access to the Skyspace and the other sculptures at sunrise and sunset. This is a privilege not granted to the general public! – and so the festival offers a unique opportunity to see the works in the enchanted hours of the day’s wax and wane.
In 2026 the artists in residence at Houghton Hall is Lynn Chadwick. The late artists has various sculpture scattered across the estate grounds for audience to view.
Audiences are able to board the people carrying trailers that can take up to 24 people comfortably to the sculpture garden from the main arena. Times of the tours will be released in advance of the festival.
